There are many holidays and seasons that heavily influence e-commerce, ranging from religious and bank holidays<\/strong> to traditions<\/strong> both old and new. There are regional and international special occasions<\/strong> and events that boost sales across the board, as well as those that affect only individual industries. They range from Easter<\/em> to Christmas<\/em>, from Carnival<\/em> to Mother\u2019s Day<\/em>, from Black Friday<\/em> to Cyber Monday<\/em>.<\/p>\n

And of course, there\u2019s more than just the classic holidays to keep in mind. There are also seasonal events<\/strong> that encourage sales: weddings<\/em>, festivals<\/em>, football WM<\/em>, BBQ season<\/em> and winter clearance sales<\/em>\u2014there are any number of events to look forward to each year.<\/p>\n

On top of that, globalization means that more international events<\/strong> are gaining traction in new regions. Many Europeans can\u2019t imagine fall without Halloween<\/em>, and Oktoberfest<\/em> is now celebrated in the USA and China.<\/div>

It can be hard to keep track of it all. You might be wondering: \u201cwhich holidays and events are coming up next, and what role do they play for me and my customers?\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why we\u2019ve created a series of blog posts titled \u201cE-Commerce in…\u201d. For each calendar month, we introduce the most important special occasions<\/strong>, holidays<\/strong> and any special characteristics of the seasonal<\/strong>. We also explain the background of the different days and how they have developed, and make note of any special events. All this information is targeted for use in e-commerce<\/strong>, regardless of whether in Germany or internationally.<\/p>\n
